Full Description: This is a Vietnam Era military 'escape and evasion' compass. There are many kinds of escape compasses, this one is simply a small aluminum compass, with a plastic face.

- Needle: Stamped steel plate in a simple tapered needle configuration. Needle is painted red on the north end. Interior of the compass is unpainted aluminum with a small aluminum disk at the bottom bearing the printed graduations.

- Graduations: Cardinal points. tickmarks at intra-cardinal points, and 5 smaller tickmarks between each cardinal and intra-cardinal point. This would divide out to 9 degrees per mark.
